Music Grammy-award winning DJ Avicii brings his fun Swedish electronic show to Dubai on 1 April at the World Trade Centre. Famously known for his songs “Wake Me Up”, “Hey Brother”, and “Addicted To You”, Avicii promises an exciting night for fans in Dubai. Catch Mickey and the gang at the World Trade Centre Wednesday, 6 April, to Saturday, 9 April, as they perform the classic Disney Live! Music Festival. Whether you’re 6 years old or 60, you don’t want to miss your chance to see classic renditions of Disney songs in the heart of Dubai. Since their first concert in 2007, the Berlin Philharmonic Quintet has gained critical recognition across Europe and Japan for their unique symphonic performance, according to the Berliner-Philharmonker. On Saturday, 9 April, the quintet consisting of 2 violins, a viola, a cello and a double bass will be performing at the One and Only Royal Mirage in Dubai. Lovers of classical music will be sure to appreciate this brilliant act.
Sports At the Skydive Dubai Desert Center, professional polo players from around the world will compete on the sands of Dubai for the Beach Polo Cup 2016 on the first two days of the month, 1-2 April, 2016.
Bring your entire family to the Big Bubble Run, Friday, 8 April, at the Dubai Autodrome Whether you prefer to walk or run the 5 kilometers of sectioned track, prepare to get wet and have fun as a seasoned bubble guide brings you through Dubai’s first ever bubble run.
Also on Friday, April 8, is the more challenging Dubai Holding SkyRun. This is a potentially exhausting vertical marathon that takes participants up the 1,334 steps of the Jumeirah Emirates Tower. Not only do you get the chance to sprint 52 stairs up the futuristic Dubai skyline, but you also help support obesity research in the UAE when you register to run, according to the SkyRun website.
Events Artists hailing from four separate continents will converge in the city for World Art Dubai 2016, being held at the World Trade Centre, from 6 April to 9 April. More than just an art festival, World Art Dubai combines education and entertainment that truly establish Dubai’s cultural and international significance. Experience seminars, workshops, live performances, and hundreds of modern and contemporary pieces of art during the four-day event. Billing itself as the largest pop culture event of the Middle East, the Middle East Film and Comic Con returns for its fifth year at the World Trade Centre, from April 7 to April 9, 2016.
